Can Chiropractic Care Help You?
In a short answer, YES!! Many people find benefits from chiropractic treatments. One of the most common is improved joint and spinal mobility. Chiropractic also helps with normalizing nerve function by improving the biomechanics and decreasing inflammation which could be putting pressure on nerves causing discomfort, and problems with muscle function.
What Kind of Training Does a Chiropractor Have?
Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, preceded by a minimum of three years of undergraduate prerequisites. Most chiropractors have undergraduate degrees. Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,700 hours of class time, plus an additional 1000 hours of outpatient treatment clinical time to earn their Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Chiropractic care is the health care discipline that uses actual manual chiropractic therapy to help heal the body and the musculoskeletal system.
Your First Chiropractic Visit; What To Expect?
Your first visit will take between 45 minutes to an hour, and will be mostly information gathering. Dr. Androsoff does a thorough history and exam before he does any treatments. This is to ensure the best, most accurate diagnosis, and to ensure that your chiropractic treatment/care will be able to help with your specific condition.
Along with patient history, in order to diagnose your condition, Dr. Androsoff uses a variety of orthopedic testing, posture assessment, nervous system scanning equipment, and when appropriate, diagnostic imaging such as x-rays or ultrasound.
Your second visit will take approximately 20 minutes, and will be a report of exam findings, and usually a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis. There will be a lot of information covered in this visit, so you are encouraged to bring a spouse, or family member to this visit if you would like to.
Subsequent visits will usually take between 15-20 minutes. Dr. Androsoff says: I’ve had a passion for health and wellness since I was a child, and I’ve always found helping other people to be the most satisfying thing I can do with my time. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others as some type of healthcare professional.
We Can Help Alleviate If Not Cure Your Pain.
A lot of people are hesitant to see a chiropractor because they have either had a negative experience, heard it can be painful, or may be an ineffective waste of time. I love getting an opportunity to change those types of patients’ minds. Just like not all family doctors, or dentists are the same, not all chiropractors are the same. I take pride in my work, and genuinely love helping people become more healthy. If I’m not the right person to help you with your problem, I am confident I can point you in the right direction.
